FAQ

What is a fiduciary?

A fiduciary is a person or organization that acts on behalf of another person to manage assets. A fiduciary owes to the other person the duties of good faith and trust. As the highest legal duty of one party to another, being a fiduciary requires being bound ethically to act in the other's best interests.*

Are you a fiduciary?

McDaniel Wealth Management financial professionals hold ourselves to the highest standard of conduct and act in the best interest of our clients according to the “prudent person standard of care.”

How do you get paid?

McDaniel Wealth Management advisors are paid based on the products and services we provide. This could include charging a fee for plan, charging a percentage of assets under our management, or on commission sales, when appropriate. We believe in transparency in fees and will discuss all fees and commissions in our initial consultation, so prospective clients know what they are paying for up front.

How often will we meet?

Every client’s needs are unique; therefore, we schedule meetings based on a mutually agreed upon cadence according to your goals. This could be annually, semi-annually or quarterly, depending on multiple factors. Whatever cadence is appropriate, just know that McDaniel Wealth Management is here when you have a question about market volatility, your investment portfolio or your financial game plan.

What is your investment philosophy?

McDaniel Wealth Management encourages clients to take a disciplined approach to financial planning through asset allocation, diversification and active rebalancing. While each of these concepts is individually important, the combination of the three helps to manage the overall risk and return of an investment portfolio. **

How will you invest my money?

McDaniel Wealth Management advisors consider a variety of factors including risk tolerance, investment objective, time horizon, investment experience and liquidity needs to determine the most appropriate financial planning strategy for our clients.

How will we measure success?

In our meetings, we will discuss your short-term and long-term goals and build a plan to help you reach those goals.

Will you look at my insurance policies?

McDaniel Wealth Management advisors are insurance licensed in multiple states and are trained to review insurance policies to identify gaps where insurance could be adjusted to better suit your needs based on your family situation and your overall financial game plan.
